Our first Christmas as a 'Family' was great. Christmas morning is so different now that there is a little one in the house. We are definitely looking forward to next year when he is a little more aware of what is going on. This year he just wanted to eat the paper.

6-Months Old!!

Jake turned 6-months old on Christmas Day. It's hard to believe that he is halfway through his first year. It has gone by so quick.

Not a fan of the Cookie Monster

Jake's Mom-mom bought this Cookie Monster so that she would have more 'fun' stuff at her house. This Cookie Monster laughs and shakes. It also falls to the floor and rolls from side to side and then stands back up. It's very cute. For some reason, Jake HATES it. He is definitely getting better with it, but it's not his favorite toy. We try not to bring it out too much so that he isn't terrified of the Cookie Monster for the rest of his life (like his mother is terrified of clowns) but this was just too funny. We thought everyone would get a kick out of it!

Merry Christmas!

This year is Jake's first Christmas and he will be 6-months old on Christmas Day. What a lucky boy... He gets presents every 6 months!

Happy Holidays to you and your families!

It's Cold!

All bundled up! Jake's snug as a bug in a rug!

I try to feed myself!

Jake likes to take the spoon from you and try to feed himself..... well actually I think he just likes to chew on the spoon!

Green Beans... Do we like them?

We have started our veggies. We are starting with the green ones first and then going from there. We should be into our fruits in about a month or so. Jake is not too excited about the green beans, but who would like green beans in a jar?? Stay tuned for more photos of new veggies!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Jake's first Thanksgiving was a great day! We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year, but we were not in charge of making all the food. Kim did bake two apple pies and make a delicious vegetable. Kim's mom's side of the family came over for dinner and it was great to see everyone! We love the holidays! It's great to be able to spend time with family and friends!

A sad day in the Musselman house...

Today was Kim's first day back to work. What a tough day for me! Hopefully Jake will adjust without me for the day and miss me so much so I get a HUGE smile when I get home at the end of the day. Luckily we have the best babysitter in the world... Jake's Mom-Mom Watkins. Thanks Mom!

Happy Halloween!

Jake had a very good first Halloween. It was 'spooktacular'. Jay thinks that his costume was an alligator. I think it's a dinosaur. On the feet of the costume it says 'Little Monster' so I guess that's what he was. Happy Halloween!

Phillies Win the World Series!!!

Jay and I are season ticket holders for the Phillies, therefore we were able to go to several Playoff games (by we, I mean Jay and a friend of his choice). My only request was that I was able to go to the World Series Game. We had Game 5 of the World Series and we were both nervous that the Phils would end it in 4 and we wouldn't be able to see a game. Fortunately, we were able to go to a game and WHAT A GAME it was!

We were troopers and stayed the whole time on Monday and went back for more on Wednesday and BOY, WAS IT WERTH IT!!!

Jay was born in 1980 when they won the Series and Jake was born in 2008 when they won the Series... I guess we better get working on another baby huh???

Jake and Aiden

Jake and his friend, Aiden Robbins, cheered on the Phils on Saturday Oct. 25th. Unfortunately they were both asleep before the game even started because of it being delayed but I think that they are both the Phils lucky charms.
Jake also turned 4 months old on Oct. 25th.

Can you believe it?? It has gone by so quickly... he is getting SO big.

I kinda look like Mommy... finally

Every so often we take a picture and he finally looks like me. It's usually the face he is making or something like that because he is definitely a look-a-like for dad.

Trip to Pittsburgh

We traveled out to Pittsburgh to visit with Jay's friends from college. It was a nice trip and Jake did surprisingly well for a 5 hour car ride. Unfortunately we don't have any pictures because we forgot the camera.
Jake did get to meet Elizabeth, who is Josh and Sue's daughter. She is just adorable. We are looking forward to them meeting again when they both actually realize what is going on in the world. Haha.

Jake and his jumper

Jake loves his jumper... and he is developing his own personality.
Although some of those faces are a reflection of his parents.

Jake and the Phanatic

Jake always wears his Phillies gear on game day... if not, the Phils wouldn't be as successful as they have been. We think that Jake is their lucky charm!

Our New Home!

Here are some pictures of our new home! Finally right? We are finally all settled (for the most part; don't ask to see the basement!) We are really enjoying our new home and our townhouse is sold so that was a big relief! Enjoy!
The rest of the pictures are in our picture folder; feel free to look!

Jake's Baptism

Jake Watkins Musselman was baptized on Sunday October 5th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He did GREAT. A little bit of tears because he thought he was going to be dropped when they held his head over the water. But other than that, he was great. His godparents are his Aunt Beth and Uncle Steve. He had so many family members and friends of the family in attendance. Jake is a very lucky boy to have so many people that love him. Thank you for all your support!
Jake missed Mimi, Pops and Uncle Justin. For those of you who don't know, Jay's youngest brother Justin had a pretty bad accident at college a few nights before. He was taken to the hospital and remained in intensive care for a few days. He's on the road to recovery and should be back home within the week. Please keep him in your prayers.

More Play Time!

Jake has started reaching for his toys. This is fun because he grabs a hold of something and doesn't let go... this item could be his toy elephant, moose, Mom's hair, Dad's lip... whatever is in his reach... good luck!

Jake's First Phillies Game - Sept 28, 2008

We took Jake to his first Phillies game on Sunday Sept. 28th. It was great, unfortunately none of the starters played since the Phils won the night before. Jake got a certificate that said it was his first Phillies game and he built his own 'Phanatic' which is named Ben (the girl in front of us named hers 'Philly' so we couldn't pick that!) We had a great day and Jake seems to really enjoy the Phils... just like Mommy and Daddy!
